I co-founded Paracle in 2004 in order to provide financial advice that is truly objective and highly personalized. I partnered with EJ Brink and Josh Harris because they shared a similar unique vision of building a boutique investment management firm that puts clients' interests first, values the financial planning process as an integral part of managing portfolios and values the importance of spending time with our families.

After graduating from the University of Washington with a degree in Business Administration and a concentration in accounting, I began my career as a CPA at Deloitte and Touche, spending the majority of my time on the Microsoft Audit. This role required detailed analytical skills as well as the ability to interview high-level executives, constantly challenging me to consider the big picture while scrutinizing the minutia. The relationships I developed at Deloitte lead to my role as a lead advisor at Brighton Jones. In this position, I learned how to apply my analytical approach and tax insight to individuals and their financial assets. I found the ability to see the big picture essential in evaluating clients' long-term plans, and the finer analytical skills crucial to constructing and managing investment portfolios to meet those goals. My experience as a Lead Advisor taught me how to communicate with clients at a high level or a very detailed level, depending on the listener. As a founding partner of Paracle, all of these attributes have been instrumental in developing relationships with clients across the firm and creating a culture that strives to bring peace of mind to our clients by providing context for their financial decisions and organization of all the details.

In addition to being a CPA, I am a Certified Financial Planner™ practitioner and hold my Series 65, Uniform Investment Adviser Representative License.

Outside of the office, I try to stay outside as much as possible - whether I am commuting to work on what I describe as the 'best bike commute ever' (between Seattle and Mercer Island), skiing powder at Alpental with my husband, David, or teaching our three children the enjoyment of all the fun athletic endeavors ahead of them.
