As a Lead Advisor at Paracle, I am the primary point of contact for the families we serve, responsible for maintaining a proactive, ongoing relationship. I help to identify and achieve goals over time. Additionally, I help to coordinate with other trusted Advisors (CPA’s, Attorneys, etc.), ensuring each family we serve feels confident in all aspects of their financial life.
I started working at Paracle because I wanted more than a place to number crunch. I wanted to make a difference for clients, and an opportunity to provide meaningful changes. Growing up, I watched my father offer his services as a medical doctor to those who needed it most, often in some of Alaska’s most rural locations. Those personal connections and that commitment to service became a part of who I am today.
Serving others goes beyond just performing duties or tasks. It’s about making a difference. To me, there’s no better reward than making a difference in someone’s life. It’s this concept that I enjoy the most about serving clients. It comes through building deep and trusted personal relationships.
The best part about being a member of the Paracle team is the feeling of comradery. The “we’re in this together” mindset leads to sharing the workload, no matter the task at hand. I enjoy being around people with the shared work hard, play hard philosophy. And most of all, we share the ability to laugh together.
Being inquisitive is truly required to better understand and know clients well in order to help guide them toward smart financial decisions. This natural curiosity leads to asking probing questions. Going beyond the surface demonstrates our caring approach to helping clients reach their goals, and gaining additional detail through thoughtful questions accomplishes this.

Why did you choose your prop?
I started playing basketball as a young child then was lucky enough to play collegiately. Through this experience I learned many valuable life lessons: Commitment, perseverance, work ethic, just to name a few. Today my passion for the sport and desire to impart these lessons on my children drives me to coach their basketball teams. In many ways coaching is an extension of how I view helping clients achieve their financial and life goals. Both require patience, gentle guidance, insight, leadership and belief in a growth mindset. All forms of cycling, whether on pavement or trails, casual rides with friends or racing, is another passion that drives me and allows to keep my competitive spirit alive.
What else do you do like to do for fun?
My biggest life adventures usually involve co-piloting the awesome world of parenting with my husband, Jim. Our children Connor and Kelsi provide a great deal of humor and joy in our lives. I love a good challenge. Cyclocross, mountain biking, cycling, triathlons, skiing, whitewater kayaking and a growing dream to finish an Ironman dominate a great deal of my down time.
If you could trade places with any person or movie character for a day, who would it be and why?
My daughter, Kelsi. I would like to know what she feels and hears inside upon randomly dancing and twirling with a smile on her face, and what it feels like to have no expectations, unbridled joy and happiness from the simple things of life.
